OMN offers trainings in writing, interviewing, shooting video and photos, audio and video editing, TV hosting, DJing and much more. All OMN trainings are free and open to all fee-paying students. Registration is required and are listed below the online training modules and workshop descriptions.

Required Introductory Trainings

Before you can access our advanced trainings, you will need to complete Intro to Media, a one-hour, online training. After completing this session, all other training modules related to creating media will become available to you!

The first step to creating great media (stories, podcasts, video and photography) is to understand media itself.  To help you get started, we have created Intro to Media, a one-hour online module that explains:

  • What is media
  • Media ethics and its importance in content creation
  • Copyright and fair use
  • Privacy and why it matters
  • How to get media experience

Once you have completed this one-hour, online training, all other training modules related to creating media will become available to you.
